Massage Therapy Room at Ellis Chiropractic Of Puyallup

Massage Therapy Room

The massage therapists at Ellis Chiropractic specialize in medical massage therapy. This is massage therapy treatment that is prescribed by either one of the chiropractors at Ellis Chiropractic or an outside medical professional. Medical massage focuses on treating an injury or condition with the intent to restore the patient to pre-injury status or to maximum medical improvement. Medical massage requires a higher level of proficiency due to the interactive nature of the massage care with the care being given by the referring provider. While medical massage therapy is the specialty of the massage therapists at Ellis Chiropractic, it is not the only type of massage therapy available at the Puyallup massage clinic. Each massage therapist may also provide the more traditional spa style relaxation massages.

*** Puyallup Valley Massage is a separate business entity from Ellis Chiropractic that operates out of the same physical location.

Spinal Decompression Table at Ellis Chiropractic Of Puyallup

Spinal Decompression Table

Spinal Decompression is a form of therapy that was designed to reduce the symptoms of a compressed or bulging disc. Chiropractors, physical therapists, and other medical practitioners use spinal decompression to remove the pressure that a bulging disc puts on the nerve and therefore reduce the symptoms such as numbness, tingling, and weakness that are caused by this pressure. Spinal decompression is also used by the chiropractor to stretch the muscles of the neck or lower back that have become tight due to injury or overuse.
